Why do joints need to be adjusted?

Chiropractic was initially founded on the idea that when bones were misaligned, they pushed on nerves and caused interference to the function of the nerves. So, if the nerve went to your stomach, a person could have indigestion because of the bone being misaligned. This explanation reflects the knowledge of anatomy and physiology of the late 1800s and early 1900s. At this time, it was thought that this alteration in nerve energy flow was the source of all diseases. Thankfully, we have progressed beyond this understanding and we now have more complete explanations of the processes that are going on in joints.

Proper methods are applied when doing chiropractic massage. I make sure you feel the pressure and relief at the same time. Your back and other parts of your body might have been aching lately but you must not worry for too long since I am here to take care of it. You would feel less anxious after the process since you would already feel your body’s much healthier and lighter state.

Heat and cold – experts may alternate ice and heat therapy to help patients treat back pain. Ice packs may be used to numb the lower back for ten to fifteen minutes and then switched to a heating pad, hot water bottle, or heat wrap to restore blood flow to the area and promote healing.
